About GlobalRisk

GlobalRisk is an independent situational-awareness tool. It brings earthquakes, natural hazards, disaster alerts, fires, aviation activity, conflict-related reporting and breaking world news into a single live map, so you can see what is happening, where, and how it connects, without checking a dozen separate sites.

What we do, and what we don't

GlobalRisk is not a news rewriter and does not copy articles. Headlines are shown as short links that send you to the publisher's own page, and every item is labeled with where it came from. What we add is the work of collecting, cleaning, organizing and presenting that information so it is easier to understand in context.

How GlobalRisk adds value

  • Aggregation of multiple public sources. Government agencies, scientific monitoring networks, emergency-management systems, public aviation feeds and news publishers are collected in one place. See the full source list.
  • Normalization. Every source publishes in a different format, scale and vocabulary. We convert them into one common event structure with a consistent time, location, category and severity.
  • Geographic grouping. Events are placed on the map by coordinates and attached to countries, so nearby or related events can be seen together instead of as isolated entries in separate feeds.
  • Interactive maps. Pan and zoom a live globe and map, switch base layers, and turn data layers on and off to focus on what matters to you.
  • Filtering. Narrow events by type, severity and region, and set optional alerts for the categories you care about.
  • Our own categorization and visualization. Events are sorted into categories and severity levels using consistent rules, and displayed with color-coded markers, country views and trend summaries that none of the underlying sources provide on their own.
  • Source attribution and original links. Each item names its source and links to the original page, so you can verify details and read the full report from the people who produced it.

Who it is for

Travelers checking conditions before a trip, people with family or colleagues abroad, students and researchers, journalists looking for leads, and anyone who wants a quick, broad picture of global activity. It is built for awareness, not for making safety-critical decisions.

Accuracy and limits

GlobalRisk depends on third-party data. Feeds can be delayed, incomplete or revised after publication, and coverage varies by region. Always rely on local authorities and official emergency channels for warnings and instructions. See our Terms of Service.

Corrections and contact

If you spot a mistake, a broken link or a source that should be credited differently, please email hello@globalrisk.site or use the contact page. We review corrections and attribution requests and fix them promptly.

How the site is funded

GlobalRisk is free to use. To cover hosting and data costs we may display advertising on informational pages. Advertising never changes which events are shown or how they are ranked. See the Privacy Policy for details on cookies and ad personalization choices.
